Bay Cat Rescue

Bay Cat Rescue is a small non-profit organisation run purely by volunteers and kept going through your support.
We are dedicated to the care, rescue and rehabilitation of stray and feral cats and kittens in the Morecambe bay and surrounding areas including Lancaster, Heysham and Carnforth. 

 

Stray cats and kittens are those which have come to be homeless through being abandoned, left behind, lost or thrown out. They often have been neglected or mistreated and need veterinary attention and rehabilitating before finding homes.

Feral cats and kittens are those born in the wild which have never had a home. We believe every cat should be cared for and we love and care for these cats by socialising them and building their trust of humans so they can find homes where they can live their lives in comfort.  We often also hand rear new born kittens which have been orphaned or abandoned.

Every cat in our care is looked after by a dedicated foster family, where they learn to be loved. 
They receive the best veterinary care and are flead, wormed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, amongst receiving any other treatment they need to get them to good health. 
This costs us on average £200+ per cat and kitten, and we simply could not keep going without our fantastic supporters!
